Amor Fati
Amor Fati
I wonder if anything that happens to us happens for nothing but a good reason. Do you remember the phrase that time heals? I do. But is it the time that heals? Do you remember another one, i.e. 'We build our future and our life' ? But I am a fatalist. I really am. For me it does not mean at all that being a fatalist is being passive and withdrawn, to rely on whatever is given to you and be in the status of waiting and idling. Quite the opposite! I consider everything what life gives me as good and positive. This comprehension of fatalism, or Amor Fati, is the only thing that can make our life meaningful and fill it in with moments which take our breath away. It can help us indeed appreciate each minute of happiness, and never remember a feeling of despair and regret. So that is what I am. A fatalist of the 21st century.
Easy enough to say, quiet difficult to do. Isn't it? But each perfection requires an undertaking and efforts. And believe me one's healing time might take years unless that someone looks for a reason of a situation, unless that very someone loves his fate, loves his life.
How many times we ask ourselves the questions unresponsive and rhetorical! Sometimes in already occurred situations we constantly and continuously repeat one and the same question 'Why?' But the paradox of this question is that the more we repeat it, the farther we go away from the answer. Instead, we should cast our mind back to the words or moments of the very situation or may be even those ones proceeding it, analyze it all and find the reason. To cure manifestations of a disease is not to cure the disease itself! And here is the same...
I remember, few years ago I asked my mother if she wanted to turn time back in order to redo something, avoiding mistakes from the past. Her answer was quite simple and short. 'No'. No explanation followed it, but for me it was quite enough, because the good reason had been already found. The good reason resulted in the present in which both of us were happy. Time will heal our broken hearts as soon as we love our fate, our life. But you might wonder whether we are lucky to return time to not make some mistakes of the past, while now are regretting them.
There is nothing I will ever regret in this life. Never. Sometimes we regret our mistakes so much, that they become our curse. If we do, we have not received any lesson from the mistakes we made, and therefore, do not have any knowledge, consequently repeating mistakes after mistakes. But it does not mean that any one should haste to take a false step on purpose to gain plausible knowledge from a plausible lesson. For instance, how many wars the world has gone through! Unfortunately, the lesson is forgotten, once each war is over. It is hard to speak of the good reason of a war, and each individual, though not being able to see it now, will take long time to find it eventually, may be unconsciously. But the good reason of the happened will result in a strong spirit, kind heart, better personal values, precious wisdom, love to fate and life...amor fati
